Are there any scientific studies on its effectiveness?

Research Evidence: A study published in The American Journal of Clinical Hypnosis found that Time Line Therapy was effective in reducing symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Another source mentions that Timeline Therapy is significant for releasing trauma, stress, anxiety, frustration, depression, phobias, and stubborn negative emotions. Literature Review: Dr. Ben Mullings conducted a literature review on the effectiveness of experiential psychotherapies, including TLT. The review demonstrated the effectiveness of experiential psychotherapies for various psychological conditions and their equivalence to other modalities.

Weight Loss

Weight loss is much more than calories in, and calories out. There is a multitude of factors that result in weight gain, and traumatic and emotional childhood experiences have a severe ongoing impact on our hormones.

 

The most common emotional issue affecting weight loss is that of self-protection or 'armoring'. Time Line Therapy is a beautiful tool to release armoring without needing to feel the emotion or discuss the story behind the original trauma.

Another common emotional issue causing a slow metabolism is not speaking your truth, or using your voice. Often patterns and belief systems are implanted in childhood and the first event of this internal shutting down is not registered until inside the Time Line Therapy session. Implications of not clearing this include thyroid disorders driving metabolic stagnation.
